NEW STAFF MEMBER

Hello Everyone,

I am feeling proud to have the opportunity to introduce myself in this edition of the newsletter.

My name is Sukhwinder Kaur and I am an Integration Aide at Sirius College, Shepparton, for the year 2020.

I have worked as a Mathematics teacher for 5 years in India and then had the privilege to help primary students in literacy and numeracy with the Smith Family Organization and Kip McGrath Education Centre in Shepparton. Currently, I am also teaching language in Victorian School of Languages on Saturdays.

Helping children with their learning needs is my passion and I strongly believe that learning is a never-ending process as I continue my studies online.

Besides teaching and my studies, I love to spend time with my family.

While working as an Integration Aide, the one thing I love the most is that I got the chance to help students at all different year levels, in collaboration with my expert colleagues. Although I had a few weeks to work face-to-face with students at school, I am glad that I established a good rapport with everyone and it was only possible because of the pure hearted, welcoming, little stars of the school and the friendly staff members.

I am looking forward to contributing further as a productive member of Sirius College Community.
